		The Sara Lee Foundation is the philanthropic arm of Sara Lee Corporation. The Foundation’s programming and giving initiatives have touched millions of lives and strengthened our communities by building their cultural vitality and by helping those in need. Sara Lee’s commitment to the community is inspired by our employees, our history and our industry. We provide monetary support to selected nonprofit organizations through the Sara Lee Foundation, make product donations through America’s Second Harvest, and encourage our employees to volunteer their time and talents in the community. In addition, we support the full breadth of our employees’ interests through a comprehensive matching grant program.

Founded in 1981, the Sara Lee Foundation was created to formalize Sara Lee’s philanthropic support of the communities in which our employees live and work. The Sara Lee Foundation focuses its support on food-related programs such as hunger, nutrition and healthy lifestyles; self-sufficiency (particularly for women); cultural sponsorships; and civic initiatives.
